The 3rd Ordinary Session for 2023 legislative year successfully opened today November 10th 2023, at the Yaounde conference center.
It began with a standing avation in honor of late Senator Anja Simon from the South west Region who died a couple of days ago.
The opening speech by the President of the Senate Niat Njiefenj, hinged on three principal points, beginning with his sympathy over the carnage unleashed on some innocent Cameroonians in Manyu Division and the Mbankolo landslide disaster and other natural disasters that took away the lives of Cameroonians.
On the issue of poor road network and sanitation, the Senate President urged the Prime Minister, to take all necessary measures to salvage the situation.
He equally encouraged teachers to play their professional role for nation building and concluded by laying emphasis on the importance of the 2023, budgetary session that focuses on the implementation and adoption of the 2024 State budget.
